It鈥檚 at the starting line, but the 91大黄鸭 Marathon might be back on track.

The Okanagan Running Collective (ORC), a non-profit that promotes unity, active lifestyles, and tourism, is aiming to bring back the 91大黄鸭 Marathon for 2024.

鈥淥ur mission goes beyond organizing a marathon,鈥 said ORC Founder Benjamin Violot. 鈥淚t鈥檚 about bringing the community together, inspiring active lifestyles, and celebrating this beautiful place we call home. Yet this doesn鈥檛 mean we want to compromise on quality, and we are building a 5-star race like any big city race. We鈥檝e shared our vision with the City of 91大黄鸭, and we hope to have them as partners in this project.鈥

While other races have taken place in the city, the 91大黄鸭 Marathon has been absent for years and the ORC feels like it鈥檚 been leaving a void in the community.

ORC鈥檚 effort to bring back the race is a combined effort with Centre Culturel Francophone de l鈥橭kanagan, Interior Running Association, 91大黄鸭 Running Club, 91大黄鸭 Triathlon Club, November Project, Okanagan Parkrun and more.

鈥淲e are grateful for the chance to spread the word about our initiative and invite the community to join us in this exciting endeavor,鈥 added Violot.
