Chuck and Michele Liebrock led the way at the Walk for Alzheimer's in 91大黄鸭's City Park on May 25.
The husband and former pro footballer was diagnosed with dementia about five years ago. Michele shared their story with the crowd on Sunday, ahead of the 1 p.m. walk.
The fundraiser for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. had more than 25 teams register to walk. The event started with speeches from the honourees, local politicians, and a representative from the title sponsor IG Wealth Management.
After the walk, participants were invited to hang out and enjoy lunch cooked up by the local Lions Club.
