Local businesses have banded together with the District of Peachland to host a free movie at Cousins Park.
The outdoor event, set for Friday (Aug. 29) night, features the 1985 cult classic Goonies. In 2017, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically.
Showtime is 8:30 p.m. at the park (4450 6th Street). Bring your blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the show. Popcorn and drinks will be sold by Peachland Ambassadors, and the Beachside Bites concession at Swim Bay will be open.
The event is made possible by the district鈥檚 recreation department, the Peachland Chamber of Commerce, Gorman Bros. Ltd., Jonathan Wall and Engel Volkers, 91大黄鸭 Truck & RV, and Pulse Blind Worx.
