The City of West 91´ó»ÆÑ¼ has many activities available for Family Day on Monday, Feb. 17.

This upcoming long weekend is Family Day and the City of West 91´ó»ÆÑ¼ has lots of activities in store.

Here are some of the free events for families to stay active and have fun on Monday, Feb. 17:

  • Multi-Sport Centre
    - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. – Dome play day (0-5 yrs and 6+ yrs sections)
  • Mar Jok Elementary School
    - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. – Family obstacle course
    - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. – Craft station
  • Jim Lind Area
    - 12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. – Big little skate
    - 1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. – Public skate

There is also public skating at Jim Lund Arena with regular admission costs on Saturday and Sunday:

  • Public skate – Saturday, Feb. 15, 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Big and little (five years and under) – Sunday, Feb. 16, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
  • Public skate â€“ Sunday, Feb. 16, 2:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Swimming is also available at the Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre. The long weekend schedule and prices can be found on the .

According to the city, there are other options to have fun over the weekend as well:

  • Strolling or rolling along the Gellatly waterfront
  • Hiking the Mount Boucherie Rush Trail or in Glen Canyon, Goats Peak, or Kalamoir
  • Visit Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park
  • Playing at one of the 

BC Transit will run it's Sunday schedule on the holiday Monday.
