The aquatics centre and gymnasium at Parkinson Recreation Centre (PRC) are closing for annual maintenance and cleaning.
The swimming pools and aquatic area (including the steam room, hot tub, and change rooms) will be closed from Tuesday, Sept.2, until Sunday, Sept. 14. They will reopen on Monday, Sept. 15.
The gymnasium and changing rooms will be closed from Sept. 15 to 19. There will be no drop-in basketball or volleyball available during this time. The gym will reopen on Sept. 20.
PRC monthly pass holders with active memberships will be able to use the 50-metre pool at H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre (4075 Gordon Drive) during the maintenance closure (not including Punch Passes or Access Passes). .
Residents looking to use the gym can visit the 91大黄鸭 Family YMCA (375 Hartman Road). PRC monthly pass holders will also have the missed time due to the closure added to their passes automatically.
Annual maintenance closures are necessary to maintain a clean and safe facility, according to a City of 91大黄鸭 media release.
