With a heat warning currently in effect for communities across the Okanagan, 91大黄鸭 residents and visitors seeking relief can visit several locations in the city to stay cool.

A City of 91大黄鸭 media release notes that all municipal facilities are available during operating hours throughout the summer. 

This includes recreation and activity centres, libraries and public parks and beaches.

The city鈥檚 website has a , and there are three water parks to visit:

  • City Park Waterpark (1600 Abbott Street)
  • Ben Lee Waterpark (900 Houghton Road)
  • Quilchena Splash Park (347 Quilchena Drive)

To ensure transportation is not a barrier to keeping cool, 91大黄鸭 transit fares will be waived during this heat warning. Just indicate to the driver that you are travelling to a place to cool down.

The city鈥檚 release also notes that this is a good time to check on friends, neighbours and loved ones susceptible to heat, including those without air conditioning or living alone.
