The City of West 91大黄鸭 has apologized for the short notice given to resident regarding debt repayment for the Rose Valley water project.

鈥淲e apologize and recognize that we should have sent out information earlier in the year,鈥 a statement from the city reads.

A letter was sent to all property owners within the Rose Valley Water Local Area Service 鈥 those that receive service from the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant and connecting transmission mains project.

Residents were given two options for repayment. One was to have the amount added to their annual property tax bill starting in 2026. For most properties, that amount will be around $181 per year. Residents choosing that option don鈥檛 need to do anything as the cost will be added automatically.

The second option the cost in one lump sum of $2,750 before the May 31 deadline. That short deadline was addressed in the city鈥檚 statement.

鈥淭he letter was mailed April 25 to meet legislative processes and final deadlines for borrowing. However, we acknowledge that we could have juggled some things to try to send the letters sooner.鈥

The full statement, including questions and answers, is .
