The 91´ó»ÆѼ Rockets are set to open its 2025 training camp on Thursday, Aug. 28, at Prospera Place.

The four-day camp will bring together prospects and returning players as the team gears up for its 30th anniversary season. The action wraps up with the annual Young Guns Game on Sunday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m.

Fans will have plenty of chances to watch scrimmages and on-ice sessions throughout the weekend, with three different squads—Team Keith, Team Barrie, and Team Kirkland—competing in a series of games.

The teams are named in honour of three standout Rockets alumni:

Duncan Keith was a key member of 91´ó»ÆѼ’s 2003 WHL championship team who went on to win three Stanley Cups, two Norris Trophies, and two Olympic gold medals. Keith was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2024.

Tyson Barrie, a dynamic defenceman for 91´ó»ÆѼ from 2006 to 2011 who helped capture the 2009 WHL title and later logged more than 800 NHL games.

Justin Kirkland was a forward from 2012 to 2016 who helped 91´ó»ÆѼ win the 2015 WHL championship and reach the Memorial Cup final before making his NHL debut with the Calgary Flames last season.

The Rockets’ 2025 camp also serves as the countdown to the home opener on Sept. 19, when 91´ó»ÆѼ hosts the Spokane Chiefs.
