A popular stretch of boardwalk along Okanagan Lake in front of Eldorado Resort is closed as crews begin repairs to both the decking and its support structure.
The closure affects the section from the north side of the Manteo at Eldorado Resort to the edge of the Lakeside Dining Room. Repairs are expected to be finished by September.
A recent visual inspection revealed signs of deterioration in several areas, prompting the closure of the entire boardwalk as a precaution.
鈥淲ork is required across multiple sections,鈥� a City of 91大黄鸭 media release states.
Construction crews will be replacing damaged wooden planks and structural supports to ensure the area is safe and stable for public use.
The city is asking residents and visitors to steer clear of the closed area.
鈥淧lease abide by posted construction signage and fencing to ensure everyone鈥檚 safety while commuting through the area,鈥� the release stated.
Access to the Manteo marina will remain open during the project.
