Space has opened up for Lake Country families needing child care.
The YMCA's Airport Child Care centre near 91大黄鸭 International Airport has many of its kids heading off to kindergarten, opening space for children aged three to five.
鈥淥ur Airport Child Care is so unique,鈥� said YMCA Child Care Senior Manager, Brittany Forte. 鈥淲ith aerospace elements throughout the centre, including lockers from real planes, and our trips to KF Centre for Excellence, this centre is really fun and offers some special learning opportunities for local kids.鈥�
There is also a new care facility at George Elliot Secondary School with preschool and part-time care available.
鈥淲e want families to have a space to ask questions and learn more about the centre, and our curriculum,鈥� explained Forte. 鈥淭he Y is a leading provider in child care, and our spaces are designed intentionally to create optimal learning environments for children. We welcome families to come take a look and ask any questions you have. And it鈥檚 a great chance for us to meet our local community members!鈥�
Parents can learn more about the George Elliot Child Care Centre during one of two open houses on Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3-6 p.m.
