Construction on the Frost Road extension and Chute Lake Road roundabout is expected to last until the fall.
This will mean temporary road closures on Frost Road and Chute Lake Crescent.
- June 17 to mid-August, Frost Road will be closed between Threadgold Court to Killdeer Road.
- June 17 to mid-September, Chute Lake Crescent will be closed between Chute Lake Road to Okaview Road. A detour will be in place through Chute Lake Road via Lark Street.
- June 30 for approximately three weeks, the Frost Road and Killdeer Road intersection will be closed. A detour will be in place through Chute Lake Road via Barnaby Road and South Ridge Drive. Access to Frost Road and Killdeer Road will be limited to residents of the area.
Commuters can anticipate additional road closures on Chute Lake Road throughout late summer and into the fall.
The Frost Road extension and Chute Lake Road roundabout project is a $6 million investment that will expand transportation options, streamline traffic and improve safety.
The project will also bring improvements to the neighbourhood including new sidewalks and a multi-use pathway, street lighting and upgrades to water and storm utilities.
