A beautiful Tuesday (June 3) afternoon in West 91大黄鸭 saw residents, volunteers, and staff from the Bartley Court Shelter roll up their sleeves for a neighbourhood clean-up event.

The Together, We Clean, Together, We Care event, hosted by Turning Points Collaborative Society, was more than just a tidy-up鈥攊t was a meaningful step toward breaking down stigma and building understanding around homelessness.

鈥淚t was a great reminder that we鈥檙e stronger when we work together,鈥 said Brittany Yadernuk, site manager at Turning Points.

The clean-up effort did more than just brighten the streets鈥攊t opened up vital conversations about the realities of homelessness in our community.

This event was made possible in part by the support of United Way British Columbia Southern Interior Region, through their Local Love Fund. The initiative champions grassroots, community-led efforts that build stronger, more inclusive neighbourhoods.

鈥淭hank you to everyone who joined in,鈥 Yadernuk added.  鈥淲e love West 91大黄鸭!鈥
