West 91大黄鸭鈥檚 favourite summer celebration is back for its 44th year鈥攁nd the team behind it promises another unforgettable weekend.
From July 10鈥�13, Westside Daze will take over Memorial Park with a packed lineup of live music, food trucks, artisans, family activities and, the parade.
鈥淚t means a whole lot鈥攂ringing West 91大黄鸭 together, families of all ages to watch the entertainment, laugh, have fun,鈥� said Jarrett Young, the event鈥檚 media and marketing coordinator.
Young said it鈥檚 a true community effort, powered by volunteers and local businesses coming together to make the magic happen.
鈥淎ll the help, and sponsorships that we get from the community, and all the businesses that help put this on鈥攊t鈥檚 fantastic,鈥� he said.
This year鈥檚 entertainment lineup includes:
- Jackson Hollow 鈥� award-winning bluegrass harmonies
- Totally Twain 鈥� a tribute to Canadian icon Shania Twain
- Jonathan Williams 鈥� a local artist bringing heart and soul to the stage
- Appaloosa 鈥� high-energy country rock
- Munro Patrick 鈥� crowd-pleasing feel-good hits
For families, there鈥檚 no shortage of fun including giant inflatables, misting stations, foam parties, a pancake breakfast, and performances by The Reptile Queen and Just4Fun.
Shooting Star Amusements will also be on site, and a drone show is planned to light up the night sky.
The Westside Daze parade rolls down Brown Road on Saturday, July 12 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Opening ceremonies are Friday at 6:30 p.m.
