Friends and family cheered loud as about 270 kids completed the Kids Triathlon in 91大黄鸭 on July 27.
The event was hosted by the 91大黄鸭 Triathlon Club at H2O for kids aged three to 15.
Race Director Cory Krist got the kids warmed up and excited before heading to the pool to start the race.
"There used to be a race that ran out of H2O called the Tri Kids," Krist explained. "Unfortunately, since COVID it never came back. The 91大黄鸭 Triathlon Club decided it would be a good initiative for our club."
Seena Sandhu completed her first triathlon at just 10 years old. The young athlete explained that she has a pool at home and has been practicing with her dad and sister. Sandhu's favourite parts of the day included the swim and the freezie at the end of the race.
Children raced different distances based on age group and all participants went home with a finisher medal.
