Traffic was congested in Enderby Friday evening as two crashes took place.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say a drunk driver caused a crash on Highway 97A at Baptiste Road July 4 at 6 p.m.
The three-car crash took place after a southbound vehicle collided with another vehicle at the intersection, which caused a third vehicle to be struck.
Two people were taken to hospital by BC Ambulance Service with non-life threatening injuries.
"Investigators determined the driver of the southbound vehicle was impaired by alcohol," said Cpl. Tania Finn. "The investigation continues."
Shortly after at 6:15 p.m., RCMP were called to the 5300 block of Highway 97A after a vehicle hit a deer.
No injuries were reported.
