It鈥檚 a tale that will warm your heart this holiday season.
Five furry friends are looking to find families in time for Christmas 鈥 and they've enlisted Santa for help.
BC SPCA volunteer Zan Kline, of Integral Films, is getting the word out to Santa (and others) that these pets are needing love during the cold winter months, and of course for the rest of their lives.
Assistant Manager of the 91大黄鸭 BC SPCA, Kaylyn Robinson, says the animals that appear in the video have been at the shelter the longest.
鈥淭hese animals weren鈥檛 getting as much attention as others,鈥 she explained. 鈥淪ometimes because they are too shy, or just don鈥檛 stand out as much as the other pets. So, we decided that a 鈥楧ear Santa鈥 plea for a forever home might help these guys find a family.鈥
Dede, the shelter鈥檚 oldest resident, has so much love and loyalty to give. Shortly after filming the video Dede was adopted.
Nigel is a shy five-year-old cat that gets missed when visitors pop by the shelter.
He enjoys head-butts and quiet nights by the fire.
Bella and Lola need the most attention, they have been at the shelter for more than five months.
The bunnies are bonded and need to go to the same forever home.
They love veggies and are looking for someone who is knowledgeable about rabbits.
Sensitive Nico is anxious of new people and tends to hide when visitors arrive. Staff hopes this video will give some insight into Nico鈥檚 personality.
The cat is very affectionate with people, but wants all the love for himself and does not want to share his new family with other pets.
You can meet these furry friends by stopping by the shelter, open everyday at noon 鈥 3785 Casorso Road.
On Saturday, the BC SPCA is holding their annual bake sale at 10 a.m. in the Education Building next door to the shelter. Come early because goodies sell out fast.
