Jeremy Sundin will leave the District of Coldstream to become chief financial officer for the Columbia Shuswap Regional District in September.

From a district to a regional district.

Jeremy Sundin's career is moving from the North Okanagan to the Shuswap.

Sundin is the new general manager of financial services (Chief Financial Officer 鈥 CFO) for the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), based in Salmon Arm, effective Sept. 2.

Sundin, a chartered professional accountant, has been the director of finance for the District of Coldstream for the past four years.

During his career, Sundin has developed an extensive background in local government finance, with nearly 15 years of experience in the Okanagan.

He has served as CFO for the Okanagan Regional Library District and director of finance and deputy chief administrative officer for the Village of Lumby.

He has an interest in ensuring financial processes are efficient and effective, having led major transitions to electronic processes in his previous senior leadership positions.

鈥淚n this important role, Jeremy鈥檚 deep-rooted knowledge of local government, his leadership skills, and his solid background in municipal finance make him the ideal choice for CFO,鈥 said John MacLean, CSRD chief administrative officer.

鈥淲e are excited to welcome him to the CSRD and know the residents of the CSRD will be able to rely on his expertise to ensure that tax dollars are handled responsibly.鈥

Sundin will replace current CFO Jodi Pierce, who announced her retirement plans earlier this year.

鈥淭he CSRD has benefited enormously from Jodi鈥檚 knowledge and dedication during her 15 years of service. We thank her for her outstanding contributions and wish her all the best in retirement,鈥 said MacLean.
