With the Walroy Lake wildfire now being held, Central Okanagan Emergency Operations (CORD) is in the process of putting together a plan to get 91大黄鸭 residents home as safely and efficiently as possible.
CORD is currently preparing a phased approach and residents are not to return home until the plan is announced.
鈥淭oday鈥檚 the day we get people in the City of 91大黄鸭 home, but in a safe, phased, and orderly way,鈥� said 91大黄鸭 Fire Chief Travis Whiting. 鈥淚t is important that residents watch for more information throughout the day at on when their specific neighbourhood is ready for safe return.鈥�
The phased approach is so residents returning don鈥檛 interfere with work crews that are removing trees and other hazards Thursday afternoon. 91大黄鸭 RCMP will be remaining in designated areas to maintain order and assist with returning residents home.
鈥淲e would like to remind those to please be patient and follow the established plans for re-entry into the affected neighbourhoods,鈥� state the 91大黄鸭 RCMP.
Stephens Coyote Ridge Regional Park and North Glenmore Dog Park will remain closed for the public鈥檚 safety. Crews are examining the parks to eventually open them in the coming weeks.
