Young learners had some great role models to literally look up to when players from the UBCO Heat women鈥檚 basketball team visited Ellison Elementary School to work with Grade 3 students on basketball fundamentals, Wednesday and Thursday.
The school hosted Toonie Hoops in partnership with the basketball team as a fundraiser for the student leadership group the Peacekeepers.
Annually, the Peacekeepers pick a charity to support and this year it selected the non-profit organization Mamas for Mamas.
