The 91大黄鸭 RCMP have confirmed the identity of the body found inside the home destroyed by fire in the 900 block of Stockwell Avenue on April 1 and are calling the discovery a homicide.

The body has been identified as Michael Madsen, a 23-year-old 91大黄鸭 resident who lived at that house with other males at the time.

The 91大黄鸭 RCMP Serious Crime Unit and the BC Coroners Service have been engaged with Madsen鈥檚 family since the onset of this investigation.

The 91大黄鸭 RCMP is asking the public for information in relation to any contact person(s) may have had with Madsen on Friday, March 31, 2017, and/or on the night of March 31 to April 1, 2017.

Policei say Madsen was known to drive a 1993 white Chevy Cavalier.

The investigation so far has revealed to police that Madsen鈥檚 death was related to the drug trade and the organized crime element in 91大黄鸭.
