Penticton police investigate car abandoned in Skaha Lake

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing, police said

Penticton RCMP is investigating after it discovered a submerged vehicle in Skaha Lake with no occupants on scene.

On July 5 at 1:40 a.m., police responded to reports of a car that had entered Skaha Lake. The vehicle appeared to have been abandoned in the water near the 5600 block of Eastside Road.

"Emergency services responded, however, upon arrival, no occupants were located at the scene," said Const. Kelly Brett of the Penticton RCMP.

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Penticton RCMP detachment at 250-492-4300.
