Vernon RCMP is currently investigating an alleged assault that took place on Sunday afternoon (May 4).

Officers responded around 3:15 p.m., after reports of an assault in the 8700 block of Okanagan Landing Road. 

According to a statement from the victim, he was riding a scooter along the road when a blue SUV pulled up next to him.

A verbal exchange then took place, and when the victim stopped his scooter, two men reportedly got out of the SUV and physically attacked him, knocking him unconscious. 

The two suspects then got into their vehicle and drove off before police arrived. 

The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file number 2025-6682.

A video of the altercation was circulating on Vernon Rant and Rave and other Facebook groups. However, it has since been deleted.
