A Lake Country resident says she has been keeping the parkway clean for years and has never seem the ministry clean up trash along the road.
Vanessa Pfannenschmidt said she installed the one bin that sits at a pullout along Wood Lake and empties it frequently.
鈥淚 drive down that road every day and that same garbage is always there,鈥 she said.
Pfannenschmidt said she collects the trash and brings it to the dump, otherwise the trash sits.
鈥淚n the summer it鈥檚 every few days and if you鈥檙e not on it, it piles up.鈥

With the support of the District of Lake Country, residents have organized a cleanup day for the area along Pelmewash Parkway.
On Saturday, Oct. 28 a cleanup will take place at 11 a.m. Bags and grab sticks will be provided, said resident Shannen Beckinsale in a .
Residents complained , with different organizations rallying to to remove the large bags of found near Wood Lake.
According to the Ministry of Transportation, the maintenance contractor has been notified of the issue.
鈥淥ur maintenance contractor, Argo Road Maintenance, is responsible for the cleaning and care of garbage and debris on the road surface, as well as pull outs and rest areas on the highway network,鈥 said Danielle Pope of the ministry.
The road lies under ministry jurisdiction until the end of August, 2018.
