A Lumby woman鈥檚 gift to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their Okanagan visit has earned her a royal thank you.
Susan Catt was one of the first people lined up at .
鈥淚 arrived at seven o鈥檆lock and they didn鈥檛 arrive until 12:30,鈥 said Catt, who has always loved Princess Diana and has followed her and her family since they were engaged. 鈥淚 thought this was a great opportunity to see Kate and William and I wasn鈥檛 going to miss them.鈥
Parking her car at the airport, Catt took a taxi up to UBCO.
鈥淲hen I arrived there was probably only about 20 people there. I got a prime spot so that was great.鈥
Although she arrived solo, Catt befriended a fellow royal fan, who even gave her a ride back to her car following the visit.
鈥淚t was so exciting,鈥 Catt reeled over the whole experience.
Along with her shutter finger, Catt brought along a bag with some gifts for the royal family, including a copy of her story Grizzly Depression for Kate and William and two Beanie Babies for Prince George and Princess Charolette.
One of the royal staff members (鈥渓ady in waiting鈥) took Catt鈥檚 gift and recently she opened her mail to a delightful surprise 鈥 a thank you letter for her gifts.
鈥淚 received the letter from Kensington Palace. I plan to use the letter in my story Grizzly Depression when I get it published.鈥
