With the agility and speed of two wheels, a thief who stole a motorbike was able to evade the Salmon Arm RCMP twice.
On July 28, a man reported his 2013 yellow Kawasaki KLR650 motorbike plate had been stolen. At the time it was taken, the bike had B.C. plate U01367.
"Police observed the motorcycle two times over the next couple days and attempted to stop it, but it fled from police both times," Const. Andrew Hodges said in a media release, adding the rider was wearing a black jacket and white helmet both times.
Anyone with information regarding the theft or who sees a bike matching this description is asked to call the Salmon Arm RCMP at 250-832-6044 and reference file number 2025-4170.
