West 91大黄鸭 RCMP will be investigating what is being called a suspicious fire Tuesday morning on Brown Road.
Three businesses suffered smoke damage in the fire, which began in one business in a commercial strip mall.
West 91大黄鸭 Fire Rescue (WKFR) responded to a report of the commercial structure fire at about 8 a.m. this morning. Upon arrival, the first crew reported smoke showing from a single window in one of the businesses in the strip mall.
Upon investigation firefighters were able to find the source of the fire which appeared to have burned itself out. WKFR says one business suffered minor fire and significant smoke damage while two adjoining businesses suffered light smoke damage.
West 91大黄鸭 firefighters ensured that the fire had not spread into the common attic space and systematically ventilated the building.
West 91大黄鸭 RCMP attended the scene and conducted a fire cause and origin investigation with West 91大黄鸭 Fire Rescue.
The fire is believed to be suspicious and West 91大黄鸭 RCMP will be the lead on this file going forward. The building and the businesses are believed to be insured.
