The weather forecast has dashed plans to celebrate a major project in Polson Park today.
The City of Vernon had hoped to celebrate phase two of the creek naturalization project with a Party for the Park Friday at 3:30 p.m.
"Due to severe thunderstorm warnings beginning this afternoon, we鈥檝e made the decision to postpone the event for safety reasons," city communications and community engagement manager Jessica Hewitt said.
