U.S. Army helicopters stop for fuel at Penticton airport

Three medium utility helicopters from the United States Army land in the South Okanagan city

United States military helicopters enjoyed a stop in the Okanagan on Tuesday (May 14).

A trio of UH-60 Blackhawks, medium utility helicopters manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft, stopped for fuel at the Penticton Regional Airport on Tuesday (May 14).

According to local airport officials, the helicopters took off shortly after filling up.

Some residents took to social media on Tuesday, May 13 to report they'd seen the helicopters flying through the South Okanagan skies.

It is unknown where they were headed after stopping in Penticton.
