UPDATE: One of the sailors reported missing last week has been found safe and sound, but the other's whereabouts are still unknown.
Nanaimo RCMP, in a press release over the weekend, advised that "numerous tips" helped them locate the 33-year-old woman who had been reported missing. The sailboat with which she was associated, the Calliope, has also been located.
Police continue to search for 30-year-old Robert Stalker of Nanaimo. He is described as 6-foot-1,190 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.
RCMP are no longer seeking any information about the 33-year-old woman or her sailboat, but those with information on the whereabouts of the 30-year-old man are asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Nanaimo RCMP are hoping that public tips will help them locate two sailors who haven't been seen in nearly a month.
30-year-old Robert Stalker and a 33-year-old woman were believed to be travelling aboard a sailboat christened Calliope and the couple was last heard from July 20. The man's family reported him missing to the Nanaimo RCMP on Aug. 13.
"Given the limited contact, which is out of character for [him], there is concern for their overall well-being," the release noted.
The 30-year-old man, from Nanaimo, is 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. The 33-year-old woman is 5-foot-10, 155 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes.
