A blaze that sparked just after 3 p.m. Friday in Summerland is now being, according to BC Wildfire Service (BCWS)
BCWS crews and one helicopter responded to the 0.009-hectare fire, located west of Mount Conkle and near Summerland Rodeo Grounds.
Lightning is the suspected cause of the blaze.
A wildfire being held is expected to remain within its current perimeter or control line.
BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) says it is responding to a new wildfire in Summerland.
BCWS crews and an additional provincial helicopter are on scene fighting the 0.009-hectare blaze, which sparked just after 3 p.m. on Friday (Aug. 1).
The wildfire is located 1.5 kilometres west of Mount Conkle, near Summerland Rodeo Grounds.
Lightning is the suspected cause of the blaze.
There are no area restrictions in place, as of 3:35 p.m.
