Running in the 2025 federal election was a significant undertaking. It required time, focus, and an extraordinary team effort. Now that the campaign has concluded, I want to take a moment to thank the people who made it possible. Whether you volunteered, donated, supported the campaign in any capacity, or voted for me, it all mattered, and I genuinely appreciate it.
Campaigns are demanding. They require a lot from people, and this one was no exception. However, what stood out was how many people stepped up, not because they had to, but because we believed we deserved better鈥 that belief powered this campaign from day one.
To our volunteers, those who knocked on doors, made phone calls, organized events, drove signs around town, or just showed up when help was needed, thank you. You were the driving force behind everything we accomplished. You gave your time and energy without hesitation and kept the momentum going when we needed it most. It was all noticed and deeply appreciated.
To everyone who donated, your support helped us build a professional, competitive campaign. Whether it was five dollars or five hundred, every contribution counted. It allowed us to reach voters, share our message, and stay focused on the priorities that matter to this community.
Thank you to those who encouraged others to get involved, who brought a friend to an event, or who simply had a conversation about what is at stake. You helped this campaign grow beyond politics and into something that felt bigger: a shared sense of responsibility for where we are headed.
One of the things I appreciated most during this campaign was the diversity of support we received. We had people from across the political spectrum鈥擫iberals, New Democrats, Greens, and Conservatives鈥攃ome forward and say, "This matters.鈥 We do not have to agree on everything to work together. That kind of cooperation is rare in politics and is what made this campaign different and, in the end, successful.
And to everyone who voted for me, thank you for your confidence.
This campaign was never about slogans. It was about results, leadership, and the hard work it takes to move a community and a country forward. It was about the future we want to build and who we trust to help make it. I was proud to stand with Mark Carney and the Liberal team as we laid out a plan rooted in competence, economic credibility, and practical solutions to real challenges.
I have said this before, but it is worth repeating: nothing in politics gets done alone. What we built over the past few weeks was only possible because people stepped up. That includes those who have supported me in the past and those who came aboard for the first time in 2025. Every one of you made a difference. And to those who did not support me, or chose to vote another way, know this: I will represent you with the same commitment and respect as anyone else. That is the job, and I take it seriously.
So thank you all for everything. I am proud of the campaign we ran and the message we delivered. The work ahead matters, and it continues.
And to those involved in our local media, you have my number. Call me anytime.
Stronger together.
