Gabriel Diallo triumphed over Belgian Zizou Bergs to win his first ever ATP title.

Watch out Canada, there's a new tennis prodigy on the block.

Gabriel Diallo, the 23-year-old Montreal native, won his first-ever ATP tour title on Sunday, June 15, defeating Belgian Zizou Bergs 7-5, 7-6 (8).

The win, at the ATP 250 Rosmalen Grass Court Championships in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands was the biggest of Diallo's career.

鈥淚t鈥檚 something that you dream of for your whole life, to win an ATP Tour title,鈥 Diallo said in his post-match interview. 鈥淚t means the world to me. I鈥檓 happy, not only for myself, but for my whole team.鈥

En route to beating the 63-ranked Bergs, Diallo upset Australia's Jordan Thompson (37), Russian Karen Khachanov (24) and Frenchman Ugo Humbert (20). He dropped just one set all week and had his serve broken only twice.

The title now means Diallo will be ranked inside the top 50, when the rankings update on Monday, June 16.

Previously, the six-foot-eight-inch player with a shock-blonde hairdo had been in one previous ATP final, losing to Khachanov at the Almaty Open in Kazakhstan in Oct. 2024.

Diallo is now the fourth Canadian tennis player to win an ATP title this century, joining Denis Shapovalov, Milos Raonic and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
