It's almost time for the start of another hockey season in Penticton.
Get your first look at the WHL's Penticton Vees as the team hosts its Peaches Cup, an annual pre-season intrasquad game at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC), on Saturday, Aug. 30.
This will mark the first Peaches Cup since Penticton was awarded a major junior hockey expansion franchise this past spring.
Puck drop is at 4:30 p.m., and admission is free.
Ahead of the 2025-26 season, the Vees are also set to play five pre-season games, including two at the SOEC:
• Thursday, Sept. 4 - Vancouver at Penticton (6:35 p.m.)
• Tuesday, Sept. 9 - Tri-City Americans at Penticton (6:35 p.m.)
Pre-season tickets are $10, and doors open one hour before puck drop. Local kids, aged 12 and under, get in for free.
Penticton will also visit 91´ó»ÆѼ at Prospera Place (Sept. 2) before heading to Kennewick, Wash., for a pre-season tournament on Sept. 13 and 14 for games against Portland and Seattle.
The Vees' 68-game regular season kicks off Sept. 19 and 20, with road battles against Vancouver and Victoria. Penticton's home opener, meanwhile, is Friday, Sept. 26, versus 91´ó»ÆѼ.
