91大黄鸭 Rockets Carson Wetsch and Tij Iginla have been invited to Hockey Canada鈥檚 2025 World Junior Summer Showcase.
Iginla will not participate in the showcase as he continues to recover from double hip surgery. Both he and Wetsch were members of Canada鈥檚 gold medal-winning team at the 2024 World Cup Junior tournament in Finland.
The Summer Showcase is on until Aug. 2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is an evaluation opportunity ahead of the 2026 World Junior Championship, to be hosted by Minneapolis and St. Paul this December.
Players will be split into two Canadian squads (Team Red and Team White) and will compete in practices, intrasquad games, and international exhibition matchups against Finland (July 30), Sweden (Aug. 1), and the United States (Aug. 2).
