Get your poker face ready because the public is invited to up the ante with the Sicamous Eagles this weekend.
The team is holding another Texas Hold 'Em Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 9, in the new venue of the Sek'emas Health Centre at 200 Main Street. All players have to check in by 6:45 p.m., with no later entries accepted, followed by the tournament from 7 to 9 p.m.
The buy in is $50, with payouts of 25 per cent, 15 per cent and 10 per cent of the pot. Of the buy in, $25 goes as a donation to the Eagles, while the remainder will go into the pot.
No re-buys are allowed, and once a player has been eliminated, they're expected to leave the table, where talking should be kept to a minimum, and no coaching allowed.
It's a timed tournament, with the player with the most chips at 11 p.m. declared the winner. As a consolation prize, there will be a cash bar available at the 19+ event.
