Two days after battling a 1.5 hectare blaze up the road from its station, the Ellison Fire Department will be hosting a Family Fun Day this Saturday.
The department's annual open house goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, where residents can explore fire trucks, learn about fire safety, have a chance to use a fire extinguisher, enjoy a hot dog, and even a pony ride.
Central Okanagan Search and Rescue, 91大黄鸭 RCMP, and BC Ambulance Service will also have information booths at the event.
The Ellison Fire Department is located at 4411 Old Vernon Rd.
