A day filled with sport, fun, and smiles to returning to 91大黄鸭 this fall.
motionball, an annual event that brings local residents and Special Olympics athletes together through a variety of sports is taking place on Saturday, Sept. 20 at City Park.
All funds raised throughout the day will go towards the Special Olympics Canada Foundation, with the event's goal being $150,000 this year.
鈥淲e are so excited to be gearing up for another amazing Marathon of Sport in September. This event has really become a staple in the community, and its impact continues to grow thanks to the outstanding spirit of our supporters and participants.鈥 said Kelsey Hanna, motionball 91大黄鸭 volunteer event director. 鈥淟ast year we had a record number of athletes on the field and we can鈥檛 wait to see what we can accomplish this year."
Each team is made up of 10 people who are joined by one or two Special Olympic athletes.
All participants will receive:
- A branded motionball t-shirt;
- Breakfast and lunch provided by local sponsors;
- Access to on-site activations, giveaways, and entertainment.
