For many, a new year means new resolutions.
Those resolutions often include eating healthier and leading a more sustainable lifestyle. To get a jump start on those resolutions, Earth to Table Vegan Market is hosting their first market of the new year on Jan. 20.
鈥淲e know first hand how overwhelming it can be to make the switch to plant-based products,鈥 said Cassandra McFarland, co-founder of Earth to Table Vegan Market. 鈥淥ur event brings together people in various stages of their plant-based journey, as well as knowledgeable vendors. It鈥檚 a great place to network and get support from others in the community.鈥

The market will continue to offer a wide selection of vegan-friendly products. There will be vendors supplying food, cosmetics, clothing, alcohol and personal care products.
鈥淭here was a study that came out last year stating that we need to drastically reduce our emissions in order to preserve the health of our planet,鈥 said McFarland. 鈥淢any people are unaware that consuming less meat and dairy products makes a substantial impact on the emissions human鈥檚 produce.鈥
Earth to Table Vegan Market will be held at The Laurel Packinghouse, 1304 Ellis Street, Sunday, Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free and donations will be accepted for Arion Therapeutic Farm, a local animal rescue.
