Music will soon be back at Mackie Lake House.
The Coldstream heritage site's annual summer concert series, Music at Mackie, is returning with new reduced ticket prices on Thursday evenings between Aug. 21 and Sept. 11.
The 2025 series features four live, outdoor music events on the grounds of the 1910 heritage home, situated on the shores of Kalamalka Lake. The series includes a variety of genres, from folk to rock and blues.
鈥淭his year, we really wanted to focus on the things that matter to our community,鈥 said general manager Carla-Jean Stokes. 鈥淲e wanted to make the ticket price more affordable, and to ensure that we are supporting British Columbia鈥檚 musicians. It鈥檚 a great thing when we can offer visitors something to do on a summer evening and to keep our dollars as local as possible.鈥
Music at Mackie is a unique way for visitors to experience the Mackie Lake House registered heritage site. The event serves as an annual fundraiser with all proceeds going towards the preservation of Mackie Lake House and its collections for the education and enjoyment of all.
The concert series includes wiL& Co. (Indie folk rock) on Aug. 21; Kailee Duggan (soulful pop folk) on Aug. 28; Rann Berry and the Random Act (rock and roll) on Sept. 4; and Brandon Isaak (blues) on Sept. 11.
Each concert features a cash bar for drinks and light refreshments. Dinner picnics catered by SpecialTea Occasions can be pre-purchased for $15 a box.
Doors for the concerts open at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 6:30 p.m. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.
Tickets are available at Glohaven Community Hub. Single tickets are $29 but those wanting to buy an all-concert pass can do so for $100. Visit for information about the picnic dinner pre-orders.
