Mental health will be a hot topic at the Adventurer's, Wanderer's and Explorer's Film Festival in 91大黄鸭 on Sept. 17.

AWEFF has partnered with the Canadian Mental Health Association for its upcoming festival at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.

鈥淲e've always believed that the spirit of exploration isn't just out there in the world, it's within us,鈥 said Joel Perrella, founder and director of AWEFF. 鈥淪ome of the most powerful journeys shared on our screen are those of people grappling with fear, loss, or isolation, and coming out the other side changed. Partnering with CMHA allows us to support those narratives more meaningfully and encourage open, informed conversations about mental health in the adventure community.鈥

CMHA will host a booth during the event with education materials and supports to help address and build understanding around mental health challenges adventurers can face.

鈥淭his inspiring event not only showcases the power of human resilience and exploration, but it also reinforces the importance of community support for mental health," said CMHA 91大黄鸭 CEO Mike Gawliuk. "Every ticket purchased will help us continue to provide critical mental health programs and support to people in our community. This is a powerful reminder of how creativity and compassion can come together to make a real difference.鈥
