King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to visit Canada this month.
The two will attend the State Opening of the Parliament of Canada in Ottawa, visiting the country May 26 and 27, according to a post from the Royal Family on social media Friday (May 2).
During his first post-election news conference Friday (May 2), Prime Minister Mark Carney said that King Charles will deliver Canada鈥檚 speech from the throne on May 27. 鈥淭his is a historic honour which matches the weight of our times,鈥� Carney said.
