RCMP are investigating after thieves allegedly stole several thousand ounces of precious metals and cash from a West 91大黄鸭 storage locker.

On Nov. 12, police were called to the scene of a reported break and enter to a storage unit, within a storage facility in the industrial area of West 91大黄鸭. The renter had been contacted by an alarm company on Nov. 10, regarding an alarm activation to his storage unit. However he was unable to immediately attend to check on his personal possessions.

鈥淧olice have learned that over 5,000 ounces of silver and gold, in various forms including coins and bars, along with cash and a rare acrylic sculpture titled Eye of the Flame, was taken from within the storage unit,鈥 says Cpl. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey. 鈥淥ur complainant was understandably distraught over the theft, which totalled in excess of $150,000 in loss.鈥

The RCMP investigation is ongoing at this time.
