91大黄鸭's Rotary Centre for the Arts will debut Mark Rucker's The Alterpiece in its Alternator Centre for Contemporary Arts on Nov. 19.
The piece, a contemporary version of a Medieval triptych, was completed in Peachland in 2021, 35 years after the piece was first started.
Rucker's work was inspired by German artist Mathias Grunewald.
鈥淕runewald鈥檚 masterpiece was created in the early16th Century, not so much a work of art as regarded by art historians, but as a medical, healing device, which was much needed in that day and age," said Rucker.
The piece will be on display from Nov. 19-24. Rucker will be available throughout the week to discuss the work.
