Drums will unite the nation on July 1. 

Canada Day Drumming is taking place in more than 20 cities across the country, including 91大黄鸭. 

The annual event was started by the Legacy 150 Celebrations Society out of Vancouver in 2017 and aims to deepen intercultural understanding, promote patriotism, and enhance civic engagement. 

The theme of this year's drumming event is "One Beat. One Nation. Together We Drum. Together We Stand."

鈥淭his event is more than a performance鈥攊t鈥檚 a celebration of our shared identity and the strength of our diversity,鈥 said Richard Wong, National Committee Chair. 鈥淲hether you鈥檙e in a big city or a small town, we invite you to drum with us and help build a moment of true national unity.鈥

91大黄鸭 residents are invited to bring their drums, pots and pans to Prospera Place on Canada Day at 11:30 a.m.

Other B.C. municipalities hosting a drum circle are Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Richmond, Kamloops, and Prince Rupert, and Barkerville.
